School Resource Program

The Cameron Independent School District has partnered with the Milam County Sheriff's Office for the provision of having a Deputy Sheriff function as their School Resource Officer.   In 2022, additional resource deputies were added to Ben Milam Elementary and Cameron Elementary/Junior High.  Both Cameron ISD and the Milam County Sheriff's Office have had excellent success with the addition of the School Resource Deputy (SRD) program and we look forward to continuing the program and its positive impact on the students and teachers. 

The Rockdale Independent School District has partnered with the Milam County Sheriff's Office for the provision of having Deputy Sheriff function as their School Resource Officer.   In 2024, two deputies were added to patrol Rockdale campuses.  Both Rockdale ISD and the Milam County Sheriff's Office look forward to a successful partnership with the addition of the School Resource Deputy (SRD) program, and we look forward to continuing the program and its positive impact on the students and teachers.
